A1122 Adds to DoorBird’s Line of Access Control Solutions

The DoorBird A1122 includes features such as a keypad, an RFID reader and Wi-Fi capabilities to enable dealers to install the access control solution into areas such as garages, storage rooms, side doors, and elevators.

BERLIN—DoorBird, global provider of IP video door intercoms and access control devices introduced its latest access control system: the A1122.

According to the company, its latest product is compact, IP-based, and the multi-technology device is suitable for a wide range of applications. Doorbird points out that when installed as a standalone solution, DoorBird A1122 unveils a realm of possibilities, effortlessly adapting to diverse locations. These include the back and side doors, garages, storage rooms, packing areas or even elevators.

Its compact design allows for easy mounting on the door frame and integrates seamlessly into any environment, says the company. The A1122 complements DoorBird’s A1121 IP access controller. This access control system features a keypad and RFID reader. It is now also available with a fingerprint reader in place of the keypad. Access can be controlled via fingerprint or via the multi-frequency RFID reader (125 kHz + 13.56 MHz) using an RFID transponder. The integrated fingerprint reader not only provides security, but also features a locking mechanism. This mechanism temporarily locks the system after multiple unauthorized attempts.

DoorBird A1122 Access Control Device Includes Numerous Options

Outlining some of the features the new access control solution offers, DoorBird says the unit provides easy network integration via wireless or wired connection via Wi-Fi or LAN cable. If a network cable is used, the device can be powered using Power over Ethernet (PoE). In the event of a temporary internet outage, all functions within the local network Part of ASSA ABLOY 2 will remain active. The software for the IP access control solution runs on the device itself. This feature the company emphasizes, eliminates the need for additional hardware components. In addition to two relays, DoorBird A1122 has a configurable Wiegand output interface for integration with existing access control or alarm systems.
