Exertis Almo Expands Drone Options With Inspired Flight and Sony Airpeak Products
Addresses increased need for security and surveillance in public and regulated spaces; On display in E4 Experience Phoenix showroom Oct. 18.
PHILADELPHIA — To address the growing need for products that offer security and surveillance in both public and regulated spaces, AV distributor Exertis Almo has expanded its drone system offering to include products from Inspired Flight and Sony Airpeak.
Exertis Almo has also partnered with Sonoran Desert Institute (SDI) to provide partners with prep courses and the ability to expand drone sales and services.
The newly available drone products and services will be shown for the first time this week at Exertis Almo’s final 2023 E4 Experience, taking place in Phoenix on Oct. 18.
They will join existing drone partners Autel and DJI to demonstrate the full range of options and expertise available through Exertis Almo.
Named a 2023 Commercial Integrator BEST Award winner, the E4 Experience is a one-day education/training and product showcase that travels across the U.S., making several stops each year. It features a “crown jewel” showroom packed with the newest AV gear and a lineup of AVIXA CTS-certified business, technical and trend sessions.
During the E4 Experience in Phoenix, Exertis Almo will lead a Tech Talk to discuss the growing use of drones in the AV industry and explain some of the newest feature sets that make drones an important addition to an integrator’s AV product offering.
“With commercial drones being used more frequently for public and government safety purposes, now is the right opportunity for integrators to diversify their product offering with another product category their customers can employ right away,” says Dan Smith, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Exertis Almo, in the announcement.
“The increased functionality and improved application awareness of drones are leading to rapid growth,” he says. “Our team has been selling drones since 2014 through Stampede, Exertis and now Exertis Almo and we have secured our expertise as the go-to enterprise drone distributor.”
Drone Offerings at E4 Experience in Phoenix
According to director of sales Matthew Callari, Exertis Almo is expanding its drone offering to give partners a wide range of options, be it made in the USA, compliance with the Trade Agreement Act (TAA) and National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and more. There are large growth opportunities for drones in construction, inspection, mapping and public safety applications, he says.
“Additionally, drone services allow integrators to extend their sales and service offering without any additional expenses,” says Callari. “They can now offer drone services, training and more without hiring in-house experts.”
The following new drone products and services are currently available:
Inspired Flight is a blue UAS partner, which allows Exertis Almo to provide USA-made drones that are secure for both government and non-government use, including:
- IF800 Quadcopter: Features a lightweight, compact and foldable frame, making it easily transportable and deployable in diverse environments. Designed for customers in need of aerial capabilities, such as infrastructure inspections, terrain mapping or lidar survey. With an impressive flight time of 40 minutes, the IF800 maximizes operational efficiency. Its 30-degree upward-angle shooting capability allows users to capture crucial data from unique perspectives, expanding the possibilities of aerial missions. Its cutting-edge technology and unwavering commitment to national security make it a trusted drone solution for commercial and government agencies, ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive data.
- IF1200A Hexacoptor: Category-leading flight times and an optimal user experience make it the heavy-lift platform of choice for the most risk-adverse operator. The SAFE droneTM capability allows the IF1200A to maintain safe and controlled flights, even in the extremely unlikely event of a motor failure. The IF1200A is able to alert the operator to land immediately and remain in a safe manual flying configuration, providing the ultimate piece of mind to operators with valuable payloads and/or underlying assets.
Sony Airpeak is Exertis Almo’s green UAS partner, with a drone system created to meet the highest levels of cybersecurity and National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) supply chain requirements.
- The Sony Airpeak is supported by a remote controller, an app and cloud service, which work together to create a high-performance aircraft system. From piloting and camera work to flight programming and data management, the Airpeak system is comprehensive and easy to use. It offers powerful flight performance and is the smallest drone in its class for alpha mirrorless cameras.
SDI Services. SDI provides Exertis Almo partners with prep courses to prepare for the FAA Part 107 drone license test to fly drones commercially in the US. Drone services also give integrators the ability to expand their own training offering across the U.S.
