Pye-Barker Acquires The Hartline Company, Enhances Security Offerings in Florida
The acquisition strengthens Pye-Barker’s full-service capabilities in central Florida and helps grow its presence in the Southeast.

ATLANTA – Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired The Hartline Company, a family-owned and operated security, alarm and fire prevention company serving central Florida. The acquisition allows Pye-Barker to add security to its fire protection services in the central Florida market.
Founded in 1984 by Alan Hartline, The Hartline Company provides security monitoring, CCTV and access control in addition to fire sprinklers, fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting, suppression and kitchen hood systems. Based in Lake Wales, Fla., and serving customers throughout Lakeland, Tampa and Orlando, Hartline’s end-to-end offerings include testing, inspection, maintenance and installation of high-quality life safety systems.

Alan Hartline and his staff will continue to operate The Hartline Company and serve customers in Florida, the company reports.
Earlier this month, Pye-Barker Fire & Safety acquired Shiver Security Systems, Inc., a security, monitoring and fire alarm company serving southwestern Ohio and northern Kentucky. The company operates more than 150 locations across the United States and employs 4,500 at its various locations.
