Dolph Pick: Jonard Optical Fiber Identifier
We can all agree that when it comes to troubleshooting, fiber cable is a different animal than metallic cable. This is why I am so excited about special cable tools such as the Jonard advanced optical fiber identifier with power meter and VFL. It is designed to quickly identify the direction of light being transmitted in the fiber and display the relative core power without damaging the fiber.
This fiber identifier also features: identifies traffic direction and frequency (270Hz, 1KHz, 2KHz) with an audible warning; LCD clearly displays relative core power, signal direction and battery life; reversible adapter has one side for 2mm and 3mm fiber optic cables, and the opposite side is used for 250μm and 900μm fiber; built-in VFL finds faults in fiber cables quickly and easily; built-in power meter can be used to measure 850, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550 and 1625nm wavelengths; protective rubber sleeve prevents damage from accidental drops. jonard.com
