Why Policy-Based Access Control Is a Superior Solution for Integrators and Users Alike
AlertEnterprise VP of North America Strategic Channel Sales Jason Alestra dishes on the latest physical access controls (PACS) trends.
During ISC West 2022, AlertEnterprise introduced the industry’s first policy-based access control (PBAC) Cloud service for physical security. With PBAC customers can go from “all the time” to real-time authorization using a Zero Trust approach to physical access.
With its PBAC Cloud service, customers can leverage their existing PACS, all while integrating the latest credentialing and authorization technologies — including mobile credentialing and IP-enabled biometric readers. Customers can automate access according to individual schedules and current policies, ditching the 24/7 cardholder access approach.
To learn more about policy-based access control, cyber-physical identify access management and other hot trends in physical access control, SSI Editor-in-Chief Scott spoke with Jason Alestra, vice president of strategic channel sales, North America for AlertEnterprise.
Alestra says PBAC is the ideal solution in a world where hybrid work models and fluctuating work schedules have become the norm. “Integrators can help customers get quick access to buildings with real-time authorization, or PBAC, policy-based access control.”
