Allied Universal Continues Expansion With Apollo Int’l Buy
The deal for Apollo Int’l comes on the heels of the merger of Universal Services of America and AlliedBarton Security Services to form the new Allied Universal.
SANTA ANA, Calif. – Security and building-services company Allied Universal, based here, has acquired Apollo Int’l in Walpole, Mass., for undisclosed terms.
The acquisition comes after Allied Universal was created by the merger of Universal Services of America in Santa Ana with AlliedBarton Security Services in Conshohocken, Pa., in August.
Privately-owned Apollo Int’l has annual revenues of $88 million and 3,400 employees, according to a press release. Established in 1990, the company has a presence in 30 U.S. states and select global markets, providing uniformed security officers, concierge/desk attendant services, investigations, special operations, competitive intelligence, risk management consulting, vulnerability assessments and other security/asset protection programs.
Allied Universal says Apollo Int’l is the 13th largest security company in the country. The sellers include Apollo’s founders, Dennis Crowley and Dick Ryer, who founded the firm after serving together in the U.S. military in Vietnam during the war.
