Xtract One says that its SmartGateway is capable of detecting a variety of weapons including guns, and large and small knives to protect the staff and patients within Virginia’s U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs hospital network.
Xtract One’s SmartGateway has been tested to meet TSA requirements to verify the product’s ability to safely screen patrons for weapons in a range of environments that include airports, sports arenas and other similar public buildings.
With violence against healthcare workers rising, Sentara has teamed with Xtract One to install its SmartGateway systems throughout its 12 facilities.
The Xtract One SmartGateway employs A.I.-based technologies to detect threats without infringing on patrons’ privacy.
MSG Sports and Xtract One’s newly formed partnership will see MSG make an initial investment into Xtract One of more than $6 million. That investment will be followed by a second investment of nearly $4 million.
