Resideo Technologies has completed the acquisition of Teknique, a New-Zealand-based company specializing in edge-based, artificial intelligence-enabled video camera development and solutions.
Teknique’s platform enables computer vision solutions and edge artificial intelligence for leading global brands and Fortune 500 companies across a range of industries, reports Resideo.
“Resideo is focused on creating products that turn data into innovative solutions, and the Oclea by Teknique platform will help lead Resideo into new applications with next-generation video and sensor technology,” says Scott Ziffra senior vice president, Engineering & Product Management at Resideo.
“With the acquisition, Resideo looks to advance our security video strategy, expand our video product portfolio and accelerate our focus on providing actionable intelligence for our customers,” Ziffra continues.
Founded in 2004, Teknique has more than 50 employees based in its offices in New Zealand, Europe and North America.
