PoEWit Technologies Releases Layer 3 NS-8B PoE Switch

The manufacturer says the new Layer 3 switch provides 500 watts of PoE power, along with 12-ports, eight 90-watt PoE ports with gigabit speeds, and four 10G SFP+ uplink ports.

According to PoEWit Technologies, a single port of the Layer 3 NS-8B PoE switch is capable of powering up to eight of its recessed or architectural lights through the company’s PoE Pass-Through capabilities. PoEWit explains this feature enables the lights to receive power from the new Layer 3 PoE switch, and the Layer 3 PoE network switch can also send power to other PoE lights or devices in a daisy chain configuration.

In total, PoEWit Technologies points out the Layer 3 NS-8B PoE switch can power ups to 50 of its PoE lighting products through the use of just eight of the switches’ 12 ports. The remaining four ports the company adds can support long-distance network connections with 10G SFP+.

“Our NS-8B fills a long-time void in the custom electronics space. It’s a smaller-port-count, L3 switch that can deliver 90 Watts of PoE per port,” says Victor Pak, co-CEO of PoEWit.
