How LOUD Security Won the 2022 SAMMY Award for Best Vehicle Graphics Design

A 1939 International Panel Truck with the company logo is considered LOUD Security Systems’ unofficial mascot.

When it comes to your vehicle fleet, there’s a functional and there’s ornamental. LOUD Security Systems in Kennesaw, Ga., has both.

In terms of functionality, the company maintains a high-quality fleet of white vans for its technicians that act as rolling billboards with the distinctive yellow “Protected by LOUD Security Systems” logo and the phone number as the two most prominent items on the side panels.

The company’s website sits in large type just below the phone number. At the footboard of the vans is the company’s motto: “Today’s Technology … Old Fashioned Service.”

The back panel of the vans notes that LOUD serves both the Residential and Commercial markets, and the back door lists the various types of equipment categories the company installs or services: Security Monitoring, CCTV Cameras, Access Control, Fire Systems.

“Our design for our fleet is clean, and easy to read, with our famous yellow logo featured prominently. Pull up alongside one all you may just have to GET LOUD!” says John Bennett, marketing manager.

But it’s also the “ornamental” part of the fleet that helps make LOUD Security Systems the winner of the 2022 SAMMY Award for the best vehicle graphics design.

LOUD Security Systems has decked out a 1939 International Panel Truck with the company logo. The 83-year-old vehicle, which is the company’s unofficial mascot, is painted in pale yellow with the type on deep blue. There is a more subdued version of the company logo on the side door.

The historic vehicle is in pristine condition and acts as a visual characterization of the company’s motto that touts old-fashioned service.

“LOUD is proud to let our surrounding communities and neighborhoods know about our services. We know one of the best ways to do that is with our fleet of company vehicles. Not to mention, our very own (and very popular) 1939 International Panel Truck!” says Bennett.
