LAFAYETTE, La. — Acadian Total Security, a division of Louisiana-based Acadian Companies, has expanded its commercial and residential security operations to Baton Rouge, La.

Evolved from Acadian Ambulance’s dispatch and communications center, Acadian Total Security began monitoring security alarms in Louisiana and nationwide in 1991. In 2014, the company expanded its services and began providing retail equipment and installation for homes and businesses.

The company also staffs offices in Lafayette and Houma, serving thousands of customers in the Hub City and Bayou regions.

Acadian installs the latest in advanced home security technology, fire and carbon monoxide (CO) monitoring, video monitoring and home automation devices, as well as personal medical alert devices and wellness monitoring for seniors and those living alone.

The company also offers business security systems, access control, video monitoring and fleet tracking for commercial customers.

Acadian Total Security operates fully redundant UL-Listed monitoring centers that are in operation 24/7/365, ensuring continuous monitoring for customers even during a power outage or storm. The centers are staffed by expert alarm and video monitoring analysts. The centers process more than three million alarms annually across the nation, according to the company.
