Camden Door Controls Announces CX-EPD1289L-BK Door Strike

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario—Camden Door Controls has introduced a new, all-black model of its surface mount RIM strike with preload: the CX-EPD1289L-BK.
The Canadian security equipment company boasts this sleek CX-EPD1289L-BK grade 1 surface mount RIM strike with latch monitoring offers security dealers a ‘universal’ strike design that delivers high levels of application flexibility, with both UL security and fire listings.
According to the company, black finishes on hardware are gaining popularity, and its new ‘all-black’ design, including the jaws and latch monitor will stand out in the current market place. Camden Door Controls asserts that along with qualifying as the best looking on the market, the new CX-EPD1289L-BK RIM strike doesn’t compromise on performance and will operate where other strikes fail.
The company says the primary reason RIM strikes fail to operate is due to pressure on the keepers of the strike, known as preload. Camden Door Controls explains this issue can be caused by differences in air pressure on each side of the door, a misaligned door, or simply someone pushing on the door before the strike is unlocked. However, regardless of the cause, Camden stresses its 1289L RIM strike will continue to operate without failure, and is designed to get dealers off the job faster. Moreover, Camden says the door strike can help reduce future service calls while eliminating the need to stock a range of RIM strike models.
Camden Door Controls adds that it designed the newly announced door strike to install quickly and easily through the inclusion of a metal mounting jig that is included in the product’s packaging. The company also emphasizes that like other Camden strikes, the new, all black CX-EPD1289L-BK RIM strike is backed by its exclusive five year no-hassle product warranty.
