Camden Releases Round Surface Boxes for Surewave, Kinetic Switches
The new mounting options include a 6-inch round surface box with extension ring and 4½-inch round surface box with extension ring.
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Canada — Camden Door Controls, a provider of door activation and locking products, has introduced new SER surface boxes and extension rings that provide a complete solution for new construction.
In addition, the devices are said to provide a simple and robust solution when replacing round wired and manual push plate switches with either Camden’s wired or wireless SureWave no-touch switches or Kinetic no-battery wireless switches.
These newest additions are indicative of Camden’s commitment to not only design and manufacture the most cost effective and technically advanced door activation devices, but also to supporting those devices with a complete range of mounting options for use in new and retrofit applications, according to a press release.
The new mounting options include a 6-inch round surface box with extension ring and 4½-inch round surface box with extension ring.
Camden also recently published a new application spec guide for specification writers designing a wireless, barrier-free restroom control system. The application utilizes standard push plate “push to open” switches and a mushroom “push to lock” switch, with CM-TX9 battery-powered wireless transmitters, and CM-RX-91 and CM-RX92 receivers.
“Occupied” and “Locked” annunciation is provided by hard-wired (narrow) LED annunciators that are mounted on the door frame, inside and outside the restroom. The application sheet is posted as a resource on Camden’s restroom control product page.
