A Slew of Promising ISC West Show Picks
Notes on some ISC West exhibitor picks that caught my attention from a remote virtual tour of the show floor.

As Ed Sullivan would put it, ISC West is a “really big shew.” It certainly is one of the biggest shows in the world for the professional security industry. I’m glad that we’re rebounding from the COVID pandemic. This month, I’d like to share notes on some ISC exhibitor picks that caught my attention from my remote virtual tour of the show floor. Enjoy.
ELK Products ELK-130 High Powered Siren Driver — A very loud, industrial-grade siren driver that uses an intense sweeping yelp sound. It has an operating range of 12-24VDC, with a speaker output rated at over 500 watts! The driver can handle a speaker load down to 1 ohm and can produce sound levels up to 130db.

DMP 8860 7-Inch Touchscreen Keypad — Why can’t security be stylish? DMP made its keypad is bigger and better, with an intuitively designed interface, integrated video and pleasing aesthetics. Other highlights include two-way audio communications, ability to view onsite video, arm/disarm photos, and area arming where users can quickly see the arming status of all zones.
EPIC Int’l Surf-K & Surf-K — Primary alarm communicators that use cellular (LTE) technology to monitor any alarm system that incorporates SIA and CID formats. They can also connect to the DSC PowerSeries keybus to monitor these systems and provide users the ability to access their systems remotely via the Aryo Cloud platform and iOS & Android devices.

Optex FlipX Series — The FlipX is the newest generation of indoor PIR detectors equipped with innovative pyroelectric element and rotatable lens, a feature unique to Optex. By simply removing the case and flipping the lens 180˚, the detection pattern can be customized from 85˚ wide for covering large open spaces, to just 5˚ for covering long narrow passages or windows. Dual-tech PIR and Microwave models for residential and light commercial applications. Animal immunity feature spots temperature changes from small animals and pets.
Go Simply Connect Simply Test — The designers of the Simpy 45 have now put together their own line of test gear. The devices cover everything form copper cable meters and tracing, CCTV, networks, and fiber cable meters. If the quality of testers is a good as their well-planned connectors, then we may have something.
Viking Electronics 22TB-IP — This is a PoE-powered paging speaker. It can operate as a SIP endpoint device for one-way and two-way voice paging. It can also operate as a multicast paging device with the ability to receive up to 10 streams. A hard-wired button connected to the 22TB-IP can initiate a SIP phone call. The built-in microphone enables monitoring of an area in the event a silent alarm is activated. The 22TB-IP can be programmed to automatically adjust to ambient room noise. B-IP can be programmed to automatically adjust to ambient room noise.
